1) Cancellations

As a consumer there is always the right to cancel contracts under the Consumer Contract (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. You can find out more about your consumer rights by speaking with Citizens Advice on 03454040506.

Our contracts begin once agreement has been made with agreed pricing and date of commencement by any means.

We agree cancellations free of charge prior to 14 days of appointment. Within 14 days we may require payment towards materials. Should cancellation be made within 5 days prior to appointment we may ask you to pay material costs and loss of earnings.

Should the work specification change this cancels current contract and enter a new one.

Please note, cancellations are not made when the same work is rescheduled.

2) Payments

All quotations are accepted on the basis that payment be made on completion of the work unless agreed in writing. For any bespoke work we require a deposit to cover the cost of materials before we commence services i.e. made to measure items, items not already in stock, sub contracted services (for example skips for waste). We accept payment via Bacs or Credit/Debit card only.

3) Completion

Non completion of work due to weather conditions will not be liable directly to us. For Health and Safety reasons we have the right to cancel/rearrange a contract at short notice with the agreement of the customers. We must be able to have access to the site and do our best to ensure no garden plants or alike are damaged when carrying out our services. We do ask that staff are aware of any material that may need protecting.

4) Underground

Staff must be informed of any known underground services that may pose a problem to the agreed work.

Fencing products timber is a natural product and can be liable to cracking, warp, wane, shrinkage and splitting. This could possible appear as soon as timber is exposed to the elements or may take some time. This is not a defect and in most cases will not affect the strength of the timber and will stabilise over time.

5) Waste

We are happy to remove waste and this must be agreed at time of booking. We do hold a waste carriers license should you require this service at cost.

6) Feedback

As a small business all feedback is helpful. We ask that you leave a review on Facebook. If you are unhappy with any work completed please contact us within 7 days of the work being completed and will be sure to rectify this if needed.

All material shall remain the property of JB Fencing and Landscaping until full payment is received. Inclusive of the cancellation terms stated above.
